Entangled Worlds: Thingumabobs and the Duality of Identity
May 3 – August 5, 2026
Entangled Worlds: Thingumabobs and the Duality of Identity was a solo exhibition by Korean artist Hyunsuk Erickson, exploring how bodies, materials, and identities exist in states of tension and connection. Drawing on memories of growing up on a farm in Korea and working with soil, clay, wood, plants, and seasonal cycles, Erickson brought natural and synthetic materials together in hybrid forms that reflected care, labor, identity, ecology, and transformation. Her Thingumabobs modeled growth as uneven, collective, and adaptive, inviting viewers to consider how human, nonhuman, and speculative bodies persist within shared and fragile systems.
