About the Garden Club
Sandy Spring Museum’s Garden Club was founded in 1991 by Mary Rice to maintain the Museum gardens and to promote horticultural education.
The Garden Club hosts educational programs, sponsors trips, creates and sells holiday greens, runs the Strawberry Festival Plant Booth, and holds a biannual Garden Tour. Anyone who is a museum member may join the Garden Club. Its members are a welcoming, inclusive, fun group of people! Programs are held four times a year.
Volunteer

You do not have to be a member of the Garden Club to volunteer. Volunteering is a great way to get involved with the club while getting to know its members.
Volunteer opportunities include:
help with the courtyard clean-up and planting
help with the holiday greens sale:
cutting the greens, putting them in water, learning how to make the various items, and cleaning up after the salegrow or donate plants for the Strawberry Festival
help with the Garden Tour:
be a docent at one of the gardens, check registrations, and help with parking
By volunteering, you will discover that Sandy Spring Museum’s Garden Club members are a welcoming, dedicated group of people who have fun no matter the task!
