10th Anniversary Exhibition (2026 Catalog (opens in a new tab))
Celebrating its tenth edition, ARTINA 2026: Ripples of Ten Years continues Sandy Spring Museum’s annual tradition of transforming its 7-acre grounds into a site of artistic exploration, discovery, and reflection. Organized in partnership with the Washington Sculptors Group, this outdoor sculpture exhibition features works by 17 sculptors who create dynamic connections between art, nature, and the surrounding landscape.
Juried by Maryland-based independent curator Maria Gabriela (“Gaby”) Mizes, the exhibition explores how sculpture can shift our perceptions of space, time, and the environment. Through diverse materials and artistic approaches, the participating artists investigate themes of reflection, transformation, connection, and imagination, inviting visitors to experience an ever-changing landscape shaped by sunlight, weather, and movement.
Since its founding in 2016, ARTINA has encouraged artists and audiences to engage in the museum’s outdoor spaces through meaningful encounters with contemporary sculpture. ARTINA 2026: Ripples of Ten Years celebrates the series’ decade-long history while looking toward new possibilities for artistic expression, collaboration, and community connection.
