Strawberry Festival Attendees!
For the first time, Sandy Spring Museum is inviting traditional artists to host a demonstration of a cultural activity or tradition at the Strawberry Festival on June 7, 2025. This event will attract 5000 visitors of varying ages and backgrounds who you can engage in many ways. Possible demonstrations can include interactive displays, crafts, games, foodways, performances, storytelling, or other ways of sharing your traditions and culture.
The event runs from 10 am – 5 pm and demonstrators must remain on site for the entire event.
Anyone is welcome to apply, but selection is not guaranteed as the Museum will make decisions to allow for a diversity of activities and cultures. We encourage demonstrations to be interactive so please consider this when applying. Selected applicants will receive an honorarium based on your proposed idea. For selected proposals, consumable supplies will be reimbursed.
